Map of Italy and the Abruzzo region
Alba Adriatica
(the dawn of the Adriatic) is situated approximately 60km north of Pescara and 106km south of Ancona.

Situated in the north of the Abruzzo region, near the borders to the region of Le Marche, Alba Adriatica is the best-known seaside resort of the northern Abruzzo coastline. Its silver beach and crystal clear sea satisfy the dreams of every holidaymaker; besides, it is the perfect place to spend holidays with children and to relax and young people can have fun at all times of the day.

Abruzzo is also called the "green region of Italy" because of its 4 national parks and the various natural protected areas where to admire the chamois, the eagle and the wolf.

The promenade is pedestrianised with palms and pine trees, along with around 25 Italian style beach fronted bars/restaurants that cater for almost every taste from ice creams and pizzas to fish suppers.

Those who love outdoor sports will enjoy the 25km long cycling track alongside the sea promenade, which takes you through other beach resorts or in the ups and downs of the green hills. In the evening, you will enjoy yourself strolling along the promenade, browsing among the market stalls and discovering your favourite restaurant or night spot.

With plenty of relaxation at the seaside and countless wonders to discover in the region; with the largest number of parks and natural reserves in Europe the changing beauty of coastal and mountainous landscapes; the charm of historical and cultural places; the cheerfulness and the evocative celebrations of traditions; the local handicrafts, and natural food will all make your holiday unforgettable.
